Why a 6-valent design?

Different Borrelia species and strains express different versions of OspA. By including six OspA serotypes, LB6V is designed to cover the predominant strains responsible for Lyme disease across the United States, Canada, and Europe — broader coverage than any previously approved Lyme vaccine.

Partnership

Valneva originated the program and partnered with Pfizer in 2020 to advance late-stage clinical development, manufacturing scale-up, and worldwide commercialization.
